My name is Jodannah Pereira,
a photographer and visual storyteller originally from Brooklyn, New York, now based in the DMV area.
I am currently studying Photography and Visual Arts at Northern Virginia Community College, where I continue to develop both my technical skills and creative vision. Photography has been a passion of mine since childhood. What began as a curiosity for capturing moments has evolved into a meaningful way to tell stories, preserve memories, and connect with people through visual art.

I am drawn to authentic moments, human connection, and the stories that often go unnoticed in everyday life. Through my photography, I strive to create images that evoke emotion, spark curiosity, and encourage viewers to see the world from a different perspective.
My work has been exhibited internationally through ONO, an exchange exhibition featuring photographic works by students from Osaka University of Arts, the Photography + Media Program at Northern Virginia Community College, and Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts, where I was honored to receive my first juried award. These experiences have strengthened my confidence as an artist and inspired me to continue exploring new perspectives through my work.
As I continue to grow as a photographer, I remain committed to learning, creating, and using my lens to celebrate the beauty, diversity, and humanity that surround us.
